2. Search for 404 in Google Analytics Tool

My way to do is, pick my best-defined keyword and start first with blogs. One by one when all the keywords are done, get a lot of websites. Then I continue with checking If they've any broken links.
Step 2: Check if they've any broken Links
Checking manually will take a lot of time, checking through a tool is always a good idea.Install this plugin and show on the taskbar. All the links will be highlighted in colors like dark green, light green, red etc. It shows the number of INVALID links in red color. You have to scroll down o the place where this red link appears and detect the broken link.

The best tool I've ever come across. You can set the level of detection up to 99 but if you want links at one-click to choose level 1.

Generally checking the number of links that web page is having and the no.of domains referring to is the most important task here. If that satisfies you, proceed to e-mail them by mentioning the broken link and can suggest a replacement if you have the similar content. Otherwise, they won't add your website instead will consider adding some other.
E-mailing them to given address on the website may take a long time so you can subscribe to their newsletter or whatever they are offering in that blog post. Like ways, you can get an active member's e-mail from them. Keep it short and simple! People like it that way!
Step 4: Wait for a reply
Yay! Now when everything is said and done. You can make a reminder of sending the mail maximum of three times. If you don't get a reply just move on and try some other sites. There are millions of sites.
